www.osdev.org Site recently vanished, leaving link here incase it returns shortly
OSDEV is a good site to go to to get redirected to resources.
Features: Forum (Really good and popular one), Large links page (again quite decent), A couple of tutorials.
www.osdcom.info (Was: www.osdev.com.ar) Started as the
#OSDevelopment official website, now a seperate OS community.
Did have technical problems a while back but went though a redesign and has improved greatly in the later half of 2004.
It contains a number of quality tutorials and links and information. And a good community enviroment which has had increased activity recently.
http://www.osdever.net
Bona Fide OS Development website is among one of the best at the moment. It is probably best known for it's tutorials
which are on the whole very good beginners guides. It also has some documents and downloads among some other features it is less well known for.
Projects
http://xoa-dos.sourceforge.net
The XOA-DOS project is run by a french person so a lot of the content is in french.
This project has slowed down as the author has gone on to try other things as part of a team. He planned one final release with a finished FAT12 driver but weither or not
this version will be released I don't as yet know.
Real mode Disk Operating System, another one made for experience and a good small example to learn from. Very similar to DFDOS.
(We created our OS's at the same time in the early stages and so bounced ideas off each other hence many similarities, but they are by no means the same)
The OSDEV.ORG projects web ring link: (Contains stuff not personally recommended but possibly worth a look if bored) Site has mysteriously vanished leaving code here incase it is only a temporary problem
